Trifolium dasyurum Eastern Star Clover
Because the fruiting heads have the star shaped calyx remaining without fading, this clover is seen as having similarities to Trifolium stellatum (Star Clover) which grows in western and eastern Europe, including Britain, and even in the Canary Islands. The flowers though are more distinctive and colourful than Trifolium stellatum in my opinion, and the star shapes on the fruiting head, less prominent. Overall though this is a very distinctive clover.
It grows in the south Aegean island and southern Greece, Cyprus where this one was found but the biggest concentration of sites is in Israel.
