Scutellaria alpina Alpine Skullcap
This is a low growing but very distinctive alpine which can be deep purple or white or combinations of the two colours. It is a perennial plant found on scree or grassy stony slopes in the Apennines, Pyrenees, the mountains of northern Greece and parts of the Alps at heights of up to 8,200 feet.
