Scutellaria orientalis Yellow-flowered Skullcap
According to the Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF) although some can be found in southern Spain and Greece, the major distribution of this subspecies of the plant is to the east of the Mediterranean. There is some dotted about in Turkey, some in Crimea and it is quite common in the Russian and Georgian Caucasus.
However there are 11 subspecies of Scutellaria orientalis and many of these plus varieties and they can be found as far east as China and in the west in north Africa. Sub species pectinata for example is found in Turkey and has maroon and yellow flowers. This one looks very like Scutellaria orientalis ssp alpina. In the photo above, the blue flower is Campanula saxifraga and the procumbent pink flower is Asperula prostrata.
