Sanicula europaea Sanicle C DD N
This common woodland plant will grow on the edges or in quite deep shade where photography is quite difficult. Sanicle or Wood sanicle as it is also known, has long been used medicinally for treating wounds and when taken internally has been used as a herbal remedy for bleeding in the stomach or intestines.
Sanicula eurpaea is common throughout the woods of England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland but is no found on the outer islands.
