Potentilla crantzii Alpine Cinquefoil
In the British Isles this is a plant of the high mountain ledges mostly in the north but at a much greater height in the Alps (5,000 feet or more) this was an alpine meadow plant growing in lush grassland. In the Alps it will grow at 10,000 feet and is found throughout the European mountain regions except the Apennines.
