Matthiola tricuspidata Three-horned Stock
This is a procumbent plant which looks very similar to other Matthiola species with greyish leaves and mauve flowers. The distinguishing feature is the strange seed pods which at the very tip have three blunt points. M. tricuspidata is most often found at the coast but can grow inland too. It is found throughout the Mediterranean.
