Medicago littoralis Shore Medick
This procumbent plant was growing on sand by the sea. The toothed leaves and purplish stems are typical. Medicago species often have very distinctive fruits and this one has clockwise spiked helices.
M. littoralis is found throughout the Mediterranean coastal area.
