Medicago lupulina Black Medick
There are many confusing small yellow pea plants to be found in Europe but this one with its tiny mucronate leaves (having a tiny point) which is a native in the British Isles, is very familiar to any British botanist. The fruits are usually black giving the plant its common name.
It is found throughout the Mediterranean region.
