Just below the dune almost on the beach this very hairy procumbent plant was sending out runners mixed with those of the Ononis variegata which has slightly buish green leaves with serrated edges. The hairiness, greysish foliage and procumbent habit are characteristic. It is found at coastal sites throughout the Mediterranean.
