Luzula lutea Yellow Wood-rush
This was quite a common Wood-rush amongst the many alpine plants at around 5,000 feet in the flower meadows of the Alps. Unlike British Wood-rushes which are brown and green such that the small ones can easily be overlooked, the yellow anthers of this plant made the large patchesstand out from a distance.
Luzula lutea is also found in the Pyrenees.
