Verticordia roei ssp meiogona   Roe's Featherflower Endemic

Verticordia roei ssp meiogona Verticordia roei ssp meiogona close

This endemic shrub is classified as a Priority One species being known from fewer than five locations in the centre of the Wheat Belt. Verticordia roei ssp meiogna flowers can be cream or pink like this one. Like all in the Verticordia genus, it is such a spectacular plant that you woudn't hestitate to have it in your garden but it seems strange to me as a visitor that so many Australian gardens feature species from Europe or South Africa instead. Perhaps they are easier to grow.
