Tulipa armena var lycica Armenian Tulip
This is a plant which prefers dry, rocky habitats and full sun. The spectacular wavy-edged, glaucous leaves make this a very attractive species for gardeners to grow in their rockeries. Sometimes the flowers have yellow edges and var lycica has hairy bulbs.
It is found in Turkey, Armenia, Iran and Iraq.
