Trifolium repens White Clover CCC D N
One of our commonest wild flowers which specialises in colonising the most carefully manicured lawns, this plant nevertheless has a quite strict timetable for flowering. Having hunted for it during the WFS winter months hunt and again in early spring, it seems to be one which doesn't like to hang on throughout a mild winter. The distribution of this plant is so wide that it has been recorded throughout the Scottish highlands and islands including the Cairngorms, outer Hebrides, Shetland and even North Rona.
