Thryptomene kochii Endemic
There are some genera in the Myrtaceae family which are very hard to identify which is why this one has remained untouched in my "Unidentified W.A. plants file" for nearly 20 years. But with the recent help of experts online, it is pretty certain that this one is Thryptomene kochii.
Records show it is predominantly a wheat belt plant, with outlier northern records near Geraldton, and most records around Merredin and the Great Eastern Highway then south but not quite reaching Fitzgerald River National park.
