Thelymitra flexuosa   Twisted Sun Orchid Endemic

Thelymitra flexuosa whole Thelymitra flexuosa close

The "Twisted" part of the common name refers to the stem which is quite wiggly and looks as though it has perhaps been attacked by a virus or pathogen of some kind. This is normal and otherwise it looks like a smaller, paler flowered version of the much commoner Thelymitra antennifera (Vanilla Sun Orchid).

It is often found in swampy areas fairly close to the coast from Perth to Albany.
