Ranunculus sceleratus Celery-leaved Buttercup C DD N
This plant tends to have many small buttercup flowers with typical yellow shiny petals which drop very quickly. The fruits swell in days afterwards often to more than twice the size of the original flower. It tends to grow actually in water or at the edge and can often be found where the ground has been disturbed.
Ranunculus sceleratus is common in most of England, Wales except for the high ground and Scotland in the built up areas but hardly at all in the mountainous north. It is common in Ireland particularly towards the east.
