Plantago lanceolata Ribwort Plantain CCC D N
This is a very common plant regarded by many as a weed. It will grow almost anywhere, on waste sites or in countryside grassland. It flowers quite early and I have seen it as early as February and it is possible to find flowers in the early winter months before the hard frosts have set in.
Plantago lanceolata grows in all parts of the British Isles and Ireland including the more distant islands like St Kilda.
