Pallenis spinosa Spiny Golden Star
This plant is a close relation of the Fleabanes (Inula sp). The hairy leaves and stem plus the distinctive bracts each tipped with a spine, are typical characters.
P. spinosa grows throughout most of the Mediterranean.
