This plant looks remarkably like Stellaria media (Chickweed) but the flowers are more upright and the sepals longer than the petals. It grows in woods and shady places so you wouldn't find it on manure heaps and wayside verges usually.

M. trinervia is found all over England southern Scotland and Wales. It is commonest ineatsern Ireland and is scarce in the far north of Scotland.
