Lythrum portula Water-purslane C DD N
This is a procumbent plant found in the drying mud at the edges of ponds, reservoirs or lakes. The axilliary flowers are very small and rarely seem to open but there are usually plenty of them on the plant. It is found throughout the country and Ireland but has a slight preference for the west.
