Lycopodiella inundata Marsh Clubmoss RR DDD N
Mostly occurring in very boggy peaty ground, often in the middle lying on top of deep black mud, this plant can only be found by very carefully picking your way across rather treacherous terrain. Even when you find it, this small plant too often lies on the mud tantalisingly out of reach of a close-up shot.
This area around Dorset and the mid south coast is a stronghold for Lycopodiella inundata which otherwise is dotted sparsely around England, Wales and Ireland with many more sites in Scotland where it prefers the west.
