This is a Scottish mountain plant absent from England, Wales and Ireland. Although it isn't rare you usually have to climb to find it. In the Ben Lawers corrie it is dotted here and there amongst Cerastium alpinum (Alpine Mouse-ear) and Alchemilla alpina (Alpine Lady's-mantle) both the rocks and on the cliffs.
