Luzula sylvatica Great Wood-rush CCC DD N
The commonest and largest of the Wood-rush family this can be a lowland plant or found at Munro height in the Scottish highlands. It is a distinctly tufted plant with the wide leaves and delicate typical wood-rush flower. It can reach nearly 1 m in height and is distributed throughout Scotland, Wales, northern England and most of Ireland but is less frequent in central and eastern England.
