Iris pseudacorus Yellow Iris CC DD N
This is another of those plants which many will recognise since it is grown in gardens and around ponds. It is frequently found in the boggy margins of wet areas like lakes and ponds and also in fens, bogs and swamps. Although it is usually easy to see, you often cannot get close to it because of the mud and water in which it grows.
Iris pseudacorus is found in almost all parts of the British Isles, Ireland and the islands, the exception being the highest parts of northern Scotland.
