Imperatoria ostruthium Masterwort I
This European introduction has escaped from gardens and made itself at home here and there in the countryside of the British Isles. It has settled more comfortably in northern Ireland, mid to northern Scotland and northern England - it is rarely recorded in the south.
Imperatoria ostruthium is the original name given to this plant by Linnaeus since which time it was changed to Peucedanum ostruthium but in New Flora of the British Isles Edition 3 by Clive Stace, the name has reverted to the original.
