The Robin is both a delightful and bold bird which will often hop around the garden while you dig and come very close in order to get food. It is also a very aggressive bird chasing off most other birds its size. The only bird which is more aggressive than the Robin in winter feeding is the Blackcap from my observations.

The thin tatty looking Robin on the right had been hard at work looking after its brood while the fat good looking one, was yet to pair up.
