Fringilla coelebs   Chaffinch

Fringilla coelebs male Fringilla coelebs female

The Chaffinch is one of the commonest birds in the Britihs Isles and can be seen almost anywhere in cities, gardens and the countryside. The colourful male is on the left with the duller female on the right. In winter we suspened our feeders in bushes and they feed underneath rather than on the feeder itself.
