Crambe cordifolia Greater Sea-kale DD I
This is spectacular introduction, usually a garden escape, which originates from the Caucasus. It is over 1 metre in height with flowers quite similar to C. maritima our Sea-kale native plant.
There are very few sites dotted here and there in England where this has been found but there at least two sites on the Sefton coast. None has been recorded in Scotland, Wales or Ireland.
