Cotula turbinata    Funnel Weed Weed

Cotula turbinata whole Cotula turbinata close

This little member of the Asteraceae family is fairly common in the region where I most often do my Western Australian botanising: around Manjimup. It is yet another South African introduction, being native to the Cape Province area where it is known as Ganskos.

Cotula turbinata has been recorded just north of Perth, around the city area itself, and south towards Margaret River then east as far as Albany with an outlier near Esperance.
