Cichorium endivia Endive
This plant is quite like ordinary Chicory but the outer and inner floral bracts area the same length. There was a reasonable amount growing in the field next to our accommodation and was probably grown in the area as a salad crop many years ago. Occasionally this plant is listed as Cichorium endiva. Being a salad crop it has other common names including Andijvie, Cultivated Endive, Endive Chicory, Escarole and so on.
