Chenopodium rubrum Red Goosefoot N
This is an occasional plant which grows on waste dumps and is often associated with manure or large composting heaps near farms. It can turn reddish in fruit hence the name but this one was very young.
Chenopodium rubrum is common in England but records are fewer in Wales and infrequent in Scotland and Ireland.
Taxononomic change: Chenopodium rubrum has been re-named Oxybasis rubra
