Chamerion angustifolium   Rosebay Willowherb CCC D N

Chamerion angustifolium

I had thought that this plant was introduced and it certainly spread along the railways and canals having been a rare plant at one time. Stace though, says it's a native. It's other common name is Fireweed after its ability to grow on bomb sites after the last war.

It is found all over the British Isles and Ireland.
