Banksia squarrosa whole Banksia squarrosa close

This is a tall shrub which can grow to over 3 m and has shiny leaves reminiscent of elongated holly leaves. It is quite common in the south west corner of Australia.

This plant was known as Dryandra squarrosa but has now been subsumed into the Banksia genus.
