There were quite a few of these plants to be seen on the coast but not many showing flowers. in fact the recently dead flowerheads look at first like flowers and I took a few photos before I realised what they were. This is a tricky genus for identification but the leafy flowering stem and the purple edge and stripe suggest that it may be A. holochrysum. If you know better please contact me.
