Aethionema armenum Persian Candytuft
Growing at usually greater than 800m on stony ground, this small alpine is found only in a few places in eastern Turkey and nearby countries such as Armenia. It has become a favourite for alpine gardeners and there are several cultivars available such as "Warley Rose". The common name given by US plant people, is a bit misleading because it isn't really a species of Candytuft which is usually associated with the Iberis genus.
