Known as Prickly Goldenfleece in Europe where this alien plant originates, Urospermum picroides was very common by mid September at this location. Elsewhere in Western Australia, for instance around Shark Bay, it has become one of the main nuisance alien weeds. It is also found in most of the other territories of Australia.
