Trifolium micranthum Slender Trefoil C DD N
This was an excruciatingly difficult plant to capture with photography. First I couldn't see the thing until on my hands and knees and had to examine it with hand lens to see if the flowers were intact. Then I needed to manually focus on something I could hardly see in the view finder - auto focus couldn't pick it out. This is a poor photo so I'll try to get another but the same problems will probably prevail for this tiny little yellow flower.
It is found very commonly in central and southern England and Wales and only occasionally in Scotland and Ireland but my guess would be that such a tiny thing is under-recorded.
