Trifolium angustifolium ssp pamphylicum Narrow Clover
This clover provided quite and identification puzzle for me when I got home and reviewed the photos. It had been confidently identified as Trifolium angustifolium by our Turkish botanical guide but the leaves didn't look narrow enough nor the flower heads long and cylindrical enough for the usual Trifolium angustifolium in various photos and illustrations.
Plantlist1.1 though has this sub species listed and looking at older photos with synonyms this is most likely species.
