Trifolium alpinum Alpine Clover
This is very much a high altitude plant being found mostly in the Pyrenees, Alps, various French mountains, the Apennines and the Picos de Europea in northern Spain. It usually grows at altitudes of 6,000 to 8,000 feet. The large flowers are usually pink but can be purplish or even cream coloured. The trifoliate leaves are usually long and linear (RHS photo) but as in the left hand photo these plants can often grow among other clover plants with more rounded leaves.
