Stylidium rigidulum    Flagon Triggerplant Endemic

Stylidium rigidulum whole Stylidium rigidulum close

This part of the beautiful Badgingarra National Park had been burnt in recent years and was still recovering. There were quite a few plants in flower but it was strange to see flowers looking so good from plant rising from the grey ash. This Triggerplant has a stripe on the underside of the petals and the inflorescence rises form a rosette.

Stylidium rigidulum is not uncommon on the coastal plain from Geraldton to Perth but doesn't extend inland much or further south than the Western Australian capital city.
