Silene aegyptiaca Egyptian Campion
Silene aegyptica is a plant of disturbed ground. It has leaves very similar to the familar Red Campion we see in Britain (Silene dioica) and can form huge patches of pink flowers. It can be found in Turkey, Cyprus, Lebanon, Syria, Israel, Jordan and of course Egypt.
