Salix viminalis Common Osier CC DD N
This willow has been cultivated so much in the past that it is difficult to know whether or not you are looking at native or partially escaped shrubs. It is supposed to be native in some parts of the country but probably not at this site. The very long leaves with no serrated edges are typical.
Salix viminalis has been recorded from most parts of the British Isles and ireland except for the hills of the far north of Scotland.
