Romulea rosea var australis Oniongrass I
This is a rare plant here but as an introduction from South Africa it doesn't warrant an R rating in Stace. It is found happily growing through the tarmac at the side of a road in Guernsey and unlike the native R. columnae has a short flower stalk. You couldn't imagine a less likely place to find an unusual plant. The plant is usually rose coloured but this is the white variety.
