Ranunculus tripartitus Three-lobed Crowfoot RR DD N
This is one of the more obvious crowfoots in that the leaves are fairly distinctive. It lives in ponds and ditches and this one was well out of reach unitil, holding onto a dead tree, I managed to coax it a little nearer shore and into camera range without falling in - much to the great disappointment of my fellow botanists of the Wild Flower Society.
This rare plant is found on the south coast regions, in Cornwall and on Anglesey but elsewhere there are few records with only one in Scotland and none in Ireland
