This is a spectacular flower which you can see from quite a distance. We have found it in Crete and in both northern and southern Cyprus - it tends to be a plant of the eastern Mediterranean. The flowers can be pink, white, dark yellow, pale yellow, scarlet, purple and even bi-coloured.
