Prunus avium Wild Cherry CC DD N
The local woods have plenty of Cherry trees in them and if you go in early Spring on a sunny day the dappled light through the blossom creates a magical effect with masses of bluebells on the ground.
Prunus avium is found throughout England and Wales and much of Scotland except for the far north. It is less common in Ireland being found more towards the east of the island as a whole.
