Pinguicula leptoceras is quite similar in size to Pinguicula vulgaris (Common Butterwort) found in the UK. The big difference is the larger, more distinct white hairy patch in the throat of the flower compared with P vulgaris.
Pinguicula leptoceras is found in the Apennines and the Alps at heights of up to 8,000 feet.
