Picris hieracioides whole Picris hieracioides whole

This is a tall, bristly yellow composite superficially similar to Helminthotheca echioides but with the flower bracts narrow instead of wide and embracing the flower head.

P. hieracioides is common in southern England but records become very sparse in northern England and Wales. It is raely found in Scotland or Ireland.
