Pembertonia latisquamea Shark Bay Daisy Endemic
These daisies were immediately obvious in the bush by the side of the road to Shark Bay. The odd thing was that they seemed to be of moderate height in some places but exceedingly tall elsewhere. It turns out that they can climb as well as behave like an ordinary shrub so some of the flowers appear high up mixed with Acacia or other species.
They begin to appear just north of Kalbarri and flower in the Shark Bay environment up to Exmouth. They are always close to the coast.
