Pedicularis verticillata Verticillate Lousewort
The species name verticillata means whorled which refers to the arrangement of the leaves around the stem. Pedicularis verticillata grows in the damp meadows of the Alps, the Pyrenees, the Cevenne and the Apennines above 5,000 feet and as high as 10,000 feet.
